On October 2023, NEDC signed an MOU with SDS Government College, Jadla, Punjab. This collaboration aims to foster entrepreneurship, facilitate skill development, and conduct specialized training programs.

Firstly, the initiative focuses on nurturing entrepreneurial mindsets among participants. It provides comprehensive training sessions and mentorship programs. Key areas covered include identifying business opportunities, developing business plans, understanding finance principles, and implementing effective marketing strategies.

Secondly, the partnership enhances practical skills through interactive workshops and training sessions across various domains. Participants gain hands-on experience and industry-relevant skills. As a result, their employability and preparedness for entrepreneurial ventures receive a significant boost.

Moreover, the collaboration supports the professional growth of educators through Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). These programs aim to enhance teaching methodologies, subject matter expertise, and pedagogical skills of faculty members. Consequently, the quality of education in the region improves.

Furthermore, Management Development Programs (MDPs) cater to professionals in the region. The programs develop leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and effective management practices. This leads to increased productivity and competitiveness within organizations.

Additionally, the NEDC-SDS College partnership takes a collaborative approach towards regional development. By fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing skills, and providing specialized training, the initiative empowers individuals and promotes innovation. Ultimately, it contributes to the economic growth of the region.

The NEDC is delighted to announce its commitment to supporting SDS College’s training activities in the specified areas. However, it is imperative that the proposed training programs adhere to certain conditions.

Firstly, the institute must ensure that the training programs are meticulously organized and closely monitored throughout their entire duration. Secondly, an assessment of the trainees’ completion of the programs will be conducted to ensure their satisfaction with attending the training sessions as per the prescribed curriculum.

By adhering to these conditions, the NEDC and SDS College partnership aims to nurture entrepreneurial talent, develop a skilled workforce, and support the professional growth of educators and managers in the region.
